Bridal Shower Invites DIY
By The Bride (Because soon I will not be the “Bride” anymore and I’ll be the “Wifey”)
I purchased these invitations months before even thinking about what kind of theme we were going to plan for the Bridal Shower. I saw them at Target and pictured myself on the front at my bridal shower. It was very festive and yet simple. I fell in love with lace this year, or rather throughout this planning process of the wedding. Secondly, I didn’t want to sign up for a registry. I didn’t want to go to a store and look through millions of lingerie or endless home items. We have everything and at the same time, we just can’t fit anything else in this apartment. I did not want to ask for gifts, as it is very un-etiquette like to ask for gifts. (Or so I have learned yet again throughout this process). I did do a “LOVE” section part of Victoria Secret and sent it via email to my sisters just so that they got an idea of what my like were. 😉 Its kind of like a registry, you just go through the website “liking” or marking your favorites. Lastly, I looked through Pinterest and came up with sending sizes along with the invitations. But I didn’t want to pay for someone to make them for me since I’ve been so DIY with everything lately. It took patience and time. Lots of PATIENCE! The lace that I love so much tortured me nightly after work as I tried cut and glue tiny little pieces to a silohuete of a torso with my bra size. But after all the tidius moments, the final product came out exactly like I wanted and did it’s job.
