I love DIY Candles
Easiest Way to Set the Mood
Whether it be that our minds are already filled with so much during our busy days. Lighting one or a few of these DIY candles can help with the day and wash the worries away. As our long days go by, summer comes to a close and some of those summer friendships dwell or fade away, we reminisce with nights filled with sweet scents.
I love DIY candles. From playful to romantic, certain scents help set the mood. I just love to clear the air and fill it will mood evoking scents.
Nothing compares to relaxing after a long day with a nice glass of wine and some nicely scented candles. I even like working from home with them on in the background. They just fill the area with a familiar scent. Whether it be nostalgia or the stress just lifting away, a smile comes to my face every time. I even refill already used candle holders.
I love going to home furnishing stores like Ikea and buying their regular unscented and scented tea lights. They even have a bigger tea light that is wider in diameter. Combine new and old with DIY candles that can be filled with tea lights. I love that tea lights can be placed anywhere and they don’t even have to be seen. I recently purchased these lace votive candle holders from Ikea as well. We used them along with our centerpieces at our wedding. They did their job. They set the tone. They were beautiful and magical and perfectly scented our venue with vanilla and cinnamon. This lace tin votive candle holder also protects against melting wax or heat on any surface.
Other candles that are filled with a much more wax and used can be reused after its melted away. Clean it out with hot water and simply place a tea light every now and then to fragrance your home. I love using it in our bathroom. It also gives off a romantic light for those nights where a nice bubble bath is essential.
Grab some tea lights, whether you use them for inside or outside, enjoy around good company or alone, and relax while the worries (and the wax) melt away.
